Itinerary 

DAY 1:
Arrival at Entebbe airport.
Our tour guide will pick you at the airport Upon arrival and transfers you to your hotel for. (Approximately 10-15 minutes drive).
overnight at The Boma Hotel (B&B) 



DAY 2: 
Drive to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for Birding.
Our Guide picks in the morning and transfer to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) Zoo. This place is rich with over 160 birds. You will see birds like Golden Backed, African paradise, Grosbeak, Black Necked and so much more. You will also visit botanical gardens for more bird watching experience.

Meals and overnight at Papyrus Guesthouse (FB) 



DAY 3:
Drive to Mabamba Swamp for Birding.
After an early breakfast you will be transferred to take a boat to Mabamba swamps, this where you will see biggest number of shoebills in a day.  You will also experience other bird species you canoeing around the swamp. You will proceed to Kampala for overnight.

DAY 4:
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Birding along en-route.
You will be transfer to Lake Mburo National Park After breakfast; you will have a stopover at Equator for photography. You will also have several birding stops along the way as you head to lake Mburo national park.  You will take afternoon game along Zebra track where you may see other species of birds
Meals and overnight at Rwakobo Rock (FB) 



DAY 5:
Birding in Lake Mburo National Park – Boat cruise
You will do morning foot safari after breakfast you will encounter several species of wetland and savanna birds, you also encounter other animals. You will return to the lodge for lunch then embark on an evening game drive.

DAY 6:
Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Norther part of the park, birding along en-route.
You will do Early morning game drive along the Lakeside Track then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Meals and overnight at Broadbill Tented Forest Camp (FB) 

 

DAY 7:
Birding in Mubwindi Swamp. Birding to Buhoma through “The Neck”
We will go for the whole day birding at  Mubwindi swamp after breakfast, you will see many birds like Black Goshawk, Augur Buzzard, Crowned Hawk-Eagle, Handsome Francolin, Olive (Rameron) Pigeon, Double-toothed, and Yellow-spotted Barbets, Western and Yellow-rumpedTinkerbird etc. Then transfer to Rushaga later for Gorilla trekking the next day

DAY 8:
Gorilla Trekking in Rushaga Sector of Bwindi
The gorilla trekking begins with briefing which begins at 7:30 a.m. You will then head inside the forest to look for mountain gorills. Gorilla trekking The tracking takes 2 to 10 hours depending on the gorilla family nearby.

DAY 9:
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National park, en-route birding.
This morning you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park in south western Uganda and  also the second largest national game  park in the Uganda., next to Lake Edward and Lake George which are joined by the Kazinga Channel. This park has 5000 hippos, 2500 Elephants and over 10,000 Buffaloes thriving in its grassland.
Meals and overnight at Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge (FB). 

 

 

DAY 10:
Birding Boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
After Breakfast you will do dawn morning birding game drive. You will see morthan 600 species of birds this include Red Chested, Diederik, and Klaas’s Cuckoo, Short-toed, Black-chested etc. You will also see Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Waterbuck, Leopards, Uganda Kobs, warthog, Birds and primates etc.  After lunch, we will go a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, here you will see a range of beautiful birds and large numbers of hippos more than you can possibly imagine as well as a variety of other animals which come to waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see buffaloes, crocodiles, bathing ElephantsMeals and overnight at Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge (FB). 

 

 

DAY 11:
Birding Enroute while being transferred to Kibale forest National park
After breakfast, you will be Picked up from your hotel for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Africa to Kibale National Park just under the Rwenzori Mountains you will do birding this afternoon at maramagambo forest where you will encounter bird type such as kingfisher, African Dusky etc.
Meals and overnight at Turaco Treetops Lodge (FB) 

 

DAY 12:
Chimpanzee Trekking and Birding in Kibale Forest National Park
Early morning trek for chimpanzees. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy, you will do birding in the afternoon at Bigodi Swamp.
Meals and overnight at Turaco Treetops Lodge (FB) 

 


DAY 13:
Transfer back to Entebbe International airport.
You will be driven back to Entebbe international airport to the tour.
